Well if you have been looking for that dishwasher to run day and night, Miele may have what need. Contrary to the popular belief of most service customers, appliance manufacturers do engage in some form of testing of their products, be it random QA testing off the production line, or in home trials by customers or manufacturer representatives. But I think Miele has taken the typical stress test to an extreme. I am glad to see a manufacturer willing to subject one of their products to the rigors of long term usage, but appliances often fail not due to usage, but how they are used. If you want your new appliance to work well for years, use it according to manufacturers specifications, and yes, read the use and care manual. This doesn't guaranty nothing will go wrong, but it can prevent typical problems. And as for the Miele running for two years. I wish them well and hope it is still running two years from now. - Me
