Model #JDS8850AAS, the complaint on this range was the right front burner control knob would not stop at low but rotate completely around making it difficult to prevent the burner from operating. The valves are mounted to a gas manifold with a screw and then the gas is plumbed from each valve to their respective burners. There was never a leak on this unit, but the end of the valve that can be seen when the know is removed has a protrusion that contacts a stop when the low setting is reached. If you turn the know hard enough, you will break this end of the valve off allowing it to fully rotate. Removed the control console and installed a new gas valve , and now it works perfect.
